Come, visit the oldest most beautiful gem in America, St. Augustine Florida, and get Two Pickleball Tournaments in one adventure. You can “Believe it or Not” as you “Zip Line” over our Alligator Farm, looking for the Ghosts of Americas 3rd most haunted city, or search later for the Ghosts on one of our city train tours.” A city for the poets, or vagabonds, enjoy the arts, where even the pirate in you can visit our ancient forts.

Play Pickleball in our Annual “Pickleball Veritas in the Ancient City” Tournament on February 24th, 25th, and the 26th, 2023.

Then splash with the sun on our free beaches, visit our quaint shops, tourist vacation attractions and take advantage of our restaurants while you enjoy the Ancient city. When you are rested from fun, refresh yourself with a side trip to Cape Canaveral, Disney World, take a pickleball lesson at the Wimbledon of Pickleball, “Pictona” near the beaches of Daytona, or simply play recreation pickleball at Treaty Park as you prepare for your second Pickleball Tournament in Palatka, Florida, a picturesque, off the beaten track trip of only 16 miles.

Cancellation Policy

Tournament Cancellation Policy:

In the event of a cancellation, Pickleball Veritas in the Ancient City will provide a change of date, same venue and any paid credit will be applied to new registration.

Player Cancellation Policy:

We are not refunding any paid fees. This tournament is supporting and working with Firefighters and Fire Departments. We will donate all profits to Camp Amigo Burn Victims, UF Shand’s Burn Center, Covid – 19, and related Charities through Knights of Columbus Council 16492

Partner Replacement Policy:

Any registered player losing a partner must replace that partner with an already registered player. The replacement must be in the same skill/age group that you are scheduled to play. Keep in mind as you search for a replacement that players may play down in age and up in skill. Replacements need to be known and communicated to aprilpickleball2@gmail.com by 6 p.m. the day before you are scheduled to play. Any request for replacements coming in after 6 p.m. the day before you are scheduled to play will be reviewed by the Tournament Director for approval. Replacements can be found on the players needing partners list, at the bottom of the main welcome page!

Format

Our tournament format is Double Elimination; only undefeated teams play for Gold.

Consolation bracket can play up to Bronze.

All players are guaranteed two ( 2 ) matches.

All matches in the "Main Draw" will be 2 out of 3 games to 11; winning by 2 points; all matches in the "Consolation Draw" will be one game to 15 winning by 2 points

Any brackets with 5 teams or less will play a round robin. Each round will be 2 out of 3 games to 11; winning by 2 points
